Q. WILL CONDENSATION MAKE THE FILM PEEL?

No, static tint film will remain on the window, even in the presence of condensation.

Q. HOW LONG WILL STATIC WINDOW TINT LAST?

Under normal conditions, the static tint will remain in great shape for upward of 2 years or more. In heavily used areas, it may not last as long. Generally speaking, if you remove the static film, clean the window thoroughly, and reapply, you’ll extend the life significantly and can get a few more years out of the film. The great news is, if one window film is damaged, you can replace just that piece.

Q. CAN I USE THE TINT ON MORE THAN ONE VEHICLE?

As long as the windows have the same dimensions, sure you can. All tint film is precut to the exact dimensions of the windows, so if you attempt to use the film on another make and model vehicle, it may not fit perfectly. If you are swapping to another vehicle with the same size windows, you absolutely can use your tint film precuts between vehicles.

Q. TO GET A DARKER TINT, CAN I DOUBLE UP THE FILM?

This is not advisable. Not only does it mess with the aesthetics, but it can also disrupt window function. If you are going to invest in two sets of films, we suggest simply swapping them out. For instance, if your normal driving film is 85% VTL and you are thinking of applying another layer to decrease light transmission, removal and installation is so simple and easy, that you can just remove the 85% and slap on the 5%! Some folks have added DIY static tint for a temporary darkening effect over professionally installed ceramic tint. While this should not be a permanent solution, in temporary situations where you need a darker tint, it will work.
