The New Year is a time of reflection. Time to reflect on the year gone by; of the positive gains and missed opportunities. A time to recount the good and bad of the past year. A look in review to evaluate growth and where to go from here. As we prepare to enter the new year, setting goals and resolutions for 2023, we can’t help but reflect in gratitude about the year of growth and prosperity we are cheers-ing a good night to.
This time last year, the team at Jet Black Tint had big dreams. But, dreams don’t get you far and we knew we’d have to pull up our sleeves, put our heads down and do the work. 2021 was a great year for us, with the launch of our Mobile Concierge fleet and opening locations in Katy, Texas, and California tint shops in Richmond, Hayward, Fremont, San Francisco, and San Ramon. We vowed to make 2022 even better, even bigger because we can’t stop, won’t stop.
And, we slayed it. In today’s post, we’ll share just a few of the accomplishments we’ve achieved over the last year and give you a little insight on where we are headed.
Our number one goal is, and always has been, to spread high-quality window tint like today’s top pop hits all over California. To turn that goal into a reality, we franchised several locations and expanded our service menu to include much more than just window tint. Our brand is now synonymous throughout the California coast as the exotic car customization company of choice, featuring options that include custom car wraps, paint protection film, headlight tinting, and platinum auto detailing. We popped up new shops in NorCal and SoCal.
We hosted our grand opening ceremony at the Alameda location in July of this year. This newest location serves the entire Oakland area with unparalleled customer service and all the great car care services as our other locations, including mobile tint options and windshield replacement.
Our eruption into SoCal began with the opening of our San Diego tint shop this August. Offering all of our great services to eager San Diegans. Open just about 4 months, you’d never know we weren’t a part of the community this time last year. It’s as though we’ve always been there. Our clients are loyal and our schedule is thriving.
In March 2022, we proudly graduated the first class of our tint school! With a campus in Houston and a campus in San Francisco, we leveled up our ability to bring tint services to more people by training our own technicians. From the streets to fully trained, our week-long tint school offers people the ability to discover a rewarding career and grow within the industry. We are excited to offer new opportunities to community members and help fellow car enthusiasts find gainful employment in a time of such economic uncertainty. We look forward to another year of successful training and proud graduates.
In an effort to become a one-stop shop for all things car window and glass, all of our locations were upgraded to include window repair and glass replacement services. We’ve always had some locations and capabilities to handle all glass issues, but we were admittedly limited. In 2022, we put all of the supplies, training, and certifications in place to offer vehicle glass repair and replacement, and established insurance partnerships and financing to help our customers. We understand that not everyone has it in their budget or their agenda to get their car windows tinted. It’s been our dream for a long time, to reach all of our potential customers, including the independent DIY’rs. We’ve been looking at partnering with top static window tint film brands for more than a year and finally sealed the deal and began selling our own line of DIY static tint both in our California tint shops and to customers nationwide online. Probably our biggest accomplishment to date has been becoming a national distributor of window film to tint shops everywhere. Beyond growing Jet Black Tint and Glass into a household name, we get the honor to help other small tint shops throughout California and the nation launch their brand by keeping their shops stocked with quality products. By keeping shop costs low, small shops can thrive by passing on the savings to their customers and focusing on quality and customer service rather than making ends meet. Who knows, one day we will see the rise of small shops into franchises like our very own JBT.
So, what’s the future hold for Jet Black Tint and Glass, and where are we heading in the 2023 horizon? Far, my friends, far. Beyond where the light touches, into that shadowy area beyond the elephant graveyard. Our dreams are big, but our work ethic and will to grind is strong. We’ve got big plans for 2023 and beyond. But, no spoiler alerts yet. The best piece of business advice we were given is to keep your finances, your relationships, and your next move out of the public eye. Don’t worry, though, we’ll let you know when the time is right, and it’s all good news for our customers.
